Nicole Hong

Nicole Hong has several years of diverse work experience in accounting and finance. Nicole started their career in 2015 as a Staff Accountant at Fehr & Associates, where they completed financial statements and MD&A for public and private companies. Nicole then worked as an Accountant at Gammon International Real Estate Corp., where they processed charges and completed budget and lease schedules. Next, they served as a Senior Accountant at American Hotel Income Properties REIT, compiling schedules and reconciling accounts for consolidated financial statements. Nicole later worked as an Intermediate Accountant at Photon Control Inc., analyzing cost changes and reports. Nicole then joined Preakness Management Corp. as a Staff Accountant, completing financial statements and conducting research on IFRS treatments. Nicole continued their career at Colliers International as a Property Accountant, handling financial reporting and reconciliations for commercial real estate properties. Nicole then held similar roles at GWL Realty Advisors and Hungerford Properties. Most recently, they worked as a Data Scientist at Many Hats Software, and they are currently an Associate Data Engineer at Converge Technology Solutions Corp.

Nicole Hong earned a Professional Development Certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence from McGill University School of Continuing Studies from 2023 to 2024. Prior to that, they attended the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in 2023 for Computer Software Engineering.

From 2021 to 2023, Nicole pursued a Professional Development Certificate in Data Science and Machine Learning at McGill University School of Continuing Studies.

In 2023, Nicole completed an Alumni Post-Graduate Program in People Analytics & MLOps: Success Beyond Experimentation at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

In 2022, they obtained a Diploma in Data Science from Lighthouse Labs through their Data Science Bootcamp.

Nicole's academic journey started in 2019 when they pursued a Global Master of Management Analytics (GMMA) degree with a specialization in Data Analytics & Data Science at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

Nicole is currently a candidate for the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation through CPA Canada. Nicole also holds a Certificate in Digital Marketing from Cornell University (2019) and an IFRS Certificate from ICAEW.

Additionally, Nicole holds a Diploma in Financial Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from The University of British Columbia.
