Nitesh Attal

Nitesh Attal, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in engineering and research roles. Nitesh is currently employed at Convergent Science as a Principal Engineer since May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Research Engineer at the same company from May 2018 to May 2022. Nitesh also held the position of Research Engineer at Convergent Science from August 2016 to April 2018.

Before joining Convergent Science, Nitesh worked as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from February 2010 to August 2016. In this role, they conducted research on various topics including reacting Richtmyer-Meshkov instability and reacting Rayleigh-Taylor instability. Nitesh also served as a PhD Research Assistant and MS Research Assistant, where they developed and validated the capabilities of FLASH-RX, a model free turbulent flow solver for shock driven flows with combustion capability.

Prior to their research roles, Nitesh worked as an Assistant Manager at Seva Industries from December 2007 to November 2009. Nitesh also gained experience as a G.E.T. (R&D Engine) at Force Motors from February 2007 to November 2007.

Nitesh Attal, Ph.D., pursued an extensive education in Mechanical Engineering. Starting in 2002, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) at Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, concluding their studies in 2006. Nitesh continued their academic journey by enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they earned their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to 2012. Building upon their passion for the field, Nitesh pursued a higher level of expertise and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution between 2012 and 2016.
