SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

OUR PROJECT 

Coral Gardeners is a mission-driven organization, created in 2017 by a group of young surfers and divers from the island of Mo’orea who came together after witnessing the degradation of their home reef. Today, we are made up of an international collective of passionate individuals determined to revolutionize ocean conservation and create a global movement to save the world’s coral reefs.

THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to own and implement Coral Gardeners’ social media strategy. In this exciting and collaborative role, you will help us tell the story of the reef on social channels and drive engagement around coral conservation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and moderate all our social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to engage with our community, drive conversations, and address their concerns.
• Strategically execute and innovate our strategy and plan; publish and distribute content across all our social channels.
• Increase followers and engagement across social media to tap more people into our movement.
• Proactively stay in the know with social media trends, algorithm changes, industry best practices, and be able to identify quick-turnaround opportunities.
• Oversee and ensure that the social media content is in alignment with our brand guidelines and aesthetic.
• Champion our tone of voice to craft engaging copies for social media content.
• Develop performance reports providing recommendations to optimize our social content and strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of proven work experience in social media.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
• Passion for social media, digital trends, and content creation.
• Excellent communication and copywriting skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms and analytics tools.
• Knowledge and experience in ocean conservation is a bonus.

• Immediate start.
• Location: Remote, but must have some availability during French Polynesia work hours.
