Celso Freitas Junior has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Celso started their career in 1998 as a Group Medical Manager at Pfizer and then moved on to Aventis Pharma, where they worked as a Medical Affairs and R&D Group Manager. At Aventis Pharma, they were responsible for managing a team and overseeing the R&D budget. Celso successfully launched the Ketek drug and increased the company's medical content in the Latin American region.

Celso then joined Transkaryotic Therapies / Shire Human Genetics as a Startup Manager, leading the company's expansion in Brazil. Celso completed the startup process within the allocated resources and time.

Later, Celso held various roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, including Senior Medical Advisor, Head of Medical Team, and Medical Manager. Celso then moved to GSK, where they worked as a Medical Manager in the Vaccines Division. Celso managed the meningitis vaccines portfolio and led new vaccine projects. Their responsibilities included managing key external experts, Medical Societies, and the lay press.

Currently, Celso is a Medical Preceptor at the Uninove Medical School. Before that, they worked as a Medical Director for Brazil and LATAM at CORCYM, previously known as Livanova HV. Their role included supporting surgeons and cardiac surgery staff and implementing new technologies for optimal patient treatment.

Celso Freitas Junior completed their MD degree in Medical at Faculdade de Medicina de Jundiai from 1983 to 1988. In 1999, Celso earned a GCP Certification in R&D from Harvard Medical International. Celso later pursued an MBA in Business and Marketing at ESPM from 2002 to 2004.
