We are seeking a mid-level Product Designer for our portfolio of fintech products and destinations including Quicken Loans. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Design and UX Research, you will take part in designing and reimagining the Quicken Loans platform experience so that millions of consumers can benefit from a state-of-the-art experience that helps position them to purchase a home, refinance a home, or gain access to personal loans.

What You Will Do:

  • Apply modern design principles and user-centered design methodologies to create a world-class user experience for tens of millions of consumers.
  • Create sketches, user journey maps, mockups, prototypes, and animations.
  • Collaborate with other designers, product managers, marketers, developers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver value.
  • Work with fellow design partners and product managers to obtain insights from consumers (how useful and usable your designs are) to ensure you are solving the right problems the right way.
  • Work in your zone of genius, by creating extraordinary product experiences that improve lives, drive revenue, and improve engagement, acquisition, and retention.
  • Contribute to the CDM Design System
  • Bring inspiring and creative ideas into an energetic and collaborative team that is nimble and moves fast to get value into consumers’ hands.
  • Demonstrate a continuous appetite to learn and improve how you approach design, with a growth-mindset, and with curiosity, not judgement.

Your Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience designing user experiences in a startup, and/or a direct-to-consumer business or consumer-centric company.
  • Proficiency of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and very strong visual design UI skills.
  • Experience creating micro-animations/UI feedback.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Figma and Miro, including competency creating interactive prototypes and components.
  • Proven experience designing mobile-first responsive websites and/or progressive web app experiences.
  • A clear familiarity with WCAG, usability, user-centered design, and design thinking.
  • Bonus: experience designing for ancillary touchpoints such as email, SMS, and chat-based interactions.
  • Successful presentation of the value of your work to stakeholders and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a deep curiosity for the customer and growing your product design skills.
  • Degree in Design-related field or equivalent experience.
