Matt Meister

Matt Meister is a Senior Research Engineer at Cornell University since April 2022, with prior experience as a Research Engineer I at Georgia Institute of Technology from February 2017 to March 2022. Matt has led significant NASA technology development projects focusing on robotic systems for deep space exploration and managed field research campaigns in extreme environments. A strong advocate for STEM education, Matt has mentored students and presented at various educational institutions. Earlier roles include positions at Acuity Brands, where Matt applied LEAN manufacturing principles, and multiple internships that involved engineering design, project development, and product documentation. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, earned in 2015.
