David King

David King has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. David most recently worked as a Management Accountant at Corre Energy starting in January 2022. Prior to that, David held the same role at Plimsoll Productions from March 2018 to December 2021. In this position, they were responsible for producing monthly management accounts and presenting findings to the Finance Director. David also handled production revenue recognition, cost of sales accruals, and margin adjustments.

Before their time at Plimsoll Productions, David worked at Hanson from 2013 to 2017. David started as an Assistant Management Accountant in June 2015 and was involved in summarizing monthly balance sheet commentary and analyzing material price and usage variances. David also collaborated with site managers to ensure accurate production reporting. Additionally, within Hanson, they took on roles as a Purchasing Implementer and a Purchasing Card/Expenses Administrator, where they enhanced procurement reporting, maintained supplier relationships, and administered the purchasing card program.

Prior to their roles at Hanson, David had experience in different industries. David worked as an Activity Leader at EAC Summer Schools in 2011, leading foreign students in English activity camps and managing payment for excursions. David also served as a Waiter/Bartender at Cross Hands Hotel in 2010, providing service at events. Furthermore, David gained accounting experience as an Accounting Assistant at Bathroom Corner in 2009, focusing on VAT accounting and end-of-year accounts preparation during university holidays.

David King's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Reading, which they obtained between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, they attended Colston's Collegiate School from 2003 to 2008, where they studied Mathematics. Additionally, David has obtained several certifications, including being a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from ACCA Global since April 2020. David is also certified in Leadership in Running Fitness from England Athletics since July 2014 and as a Tennis Leader from the Lawn Tennis Association since August 2006.
