Thomas Cornew has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Thomas co-founded and served as the Chairman of the Board for MWAMBA, a for-profit social enterprise focused on empowering small-scale mining economies. Thomas also worked as an Engineering Consultant for TMC Consulting, providing services to medical device and automotive companies. In addition, Thomas worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Vantage Robotics, where they played a key role in designing the airframe for their flagship vehicle. Thomas had an internship as a Vehicle Engineering Intern at SpaceX, contributing to the design of propulsion hardware for Crew Dragon. Prior to that, Thomas was the Captain and Head Mechanical Engineer for Dartmouth Formula Racing, where they designed and optimized a parallel hybrid drivetrain. Thomas also founded and operated Lone Pine Repairs, a business repairing Apple devices, and worked as a Referral Partnerships Intern at Funding Circle US. Thomas is currently the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Corvus Robotics.
Thomas Cornew completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Engineering from Dartmouth College from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Menlo-Atherton High School from 2010 to 2014, where they did not receive a degree or pursue a specific field of study.
