Samina Sami has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Samina currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at COSTI, where they support and collaborates with partners, supporters, and funders to provide innovative and diverse social impact programs. Prior to this, Samina was a Board Member at IPAC Toronto Region. Samina also worked at York University, where they held multiple positions including Executive Lead for Security Services Review and Executive Director of the Community Safety Office. In these roles, they oversaw large-scale projects, developed inclusive strategies, and collaborated with internal and external partners. Samina also has experience working for the Ontario Government, where they held roles such as Manager of Education, Awareness, and Outreach and Director of Conflict Resolution and Human Rights. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in program management, public affairs, policy development, and stakeholder relations.
Samina Sami has a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Adult and Higher Education, Leadership Policy Studies from the University of Toronto. Samina also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Toronto - University College. Additionally, they have completed a Senior University Administrators Course Certificate from the University of Manitoba. Recently, they pursued a Global Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from both Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business - York University.
