Shawn Donnelly

Director, Organizational Development & Learning at Council on Foundations

Shawn Donnelly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different organizations. In 2009, they started their career as a Supervisor, Sales & Analytics at PlumChoice, where they worked until 2013. From 2014 to 2015, Shawn worked as a Policy & Evaluation Associate at Middlesex Community College. Following this, they joined the University of Massachusetts Lowell as a Research Assistant and later became a Program Evaluation & Research Assistant at the Center for Community Research & Engagement from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, Shawn became a Senior Researcher at Northern Arizona University until 2018. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Learning and Evaluation Officer at the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. Currently, Shawn holds the position of Director, Organizational Development & Learning at the Council on Foundations starting from July 2022.

Shawn Donnelly has pursued higher education at three different institutions. The first one is the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following that, they attended Arizona State University as a non-degree seeker, specializing in Quantitative Psychology. Lastly, their educational journey brought them back to the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in Community-Social Psychology.
