Stephanie Tanksley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Stephanie started their career in 2004 as a Training Coordinator/Corporate Trainer at Texas Roadhouse, where they eventually became an Assistant Service Manager. In 2009, they transitioned to the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst and served until 2011. After leaving the army, Stephanie returned to Texas Roadhouse as a Key Manager until 2013. Stephanie then worked at Schats Roadhouse as a Business Consultant/Opening Manager before returning to Texas Roadhouse as a Service Manager in 2014.

In 2015, Stephanie joined the County of Inyo as an Administrative Assistant to the HHS Director. Stephanie then became an Administrative Analyst II in the Evaluation & Outcomes Unit, where they were certified as a Federal Child Welfare Case Reviewer for the State of California. In 2019, Stephanie was promoted to Senior Program Integrity and Quality Assurance Manager, where they worked with the Executive Management Team for Health & Human Services Department. Stephanie'srole involved leading large-scale transformation projects, implementing employee engagement initiatives, overseeing internal audits, and ensuring contract compliance. Stephanie also participated in the development of trainings and managed QA development within new programs.

In 2022, Stephanie expanded their work experience by joining UC Davis Human Services as a Human Services Instructor, where they shared their expertise in trauma-informed care, leading through change, and innovations in human services. Currently, they are working as the Deputy Director of Public Health and Prevention at the County of Inyo, a role that they took on in 2023.

Stephanie Tanksley has a diverse education history. Stephanie completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Digital Innovation and Information Systems at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Methodist University, where they attended from 2011 to 2013. Stephanie also has an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Rowan College at Gloucester County, which they earned between 2004 and 2007. In addition to their formal education, Stephanie has obtained certifications in various areas of emergency response and incident management from FEMA, including NIMS 100- Introduction to Incident Command System, NIMS 200- ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, and NIMS IS 700 (Local) Integration Center Course.
