Jay Wood

Jay Wood currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Admin Human Services Agency for the County of Kings, California, since July 2022, while concurrently pursuing a Ph.D. at Grand Canyon University since March 2017. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Executive Advisor/Manager for the U.S. SIXTH Fleet, where Jay Wood supervised 400 personnel and represented over 12,000 personnel during tenure from April 2008 to August 2011, and for Navy Medicine West/Naval Medical Center Balboa, responsible for management involving 14,500 staff and a billion-dollar budget from March 2006 to March 2008. Jay Wood's military background includes serving as a Department Head and Medical Department Head in the US Navy from 1995 to 1999. Academic achievements include a Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma and various military and leadership training courses.
