Lillian Russell

Lillian Russell currently serves as the Chief Privacy Officer for the County of Los Angeles, a position held since June 2019. Prior to this role, Lillian held various titles including Deputy County Counsel, Senior Associate County Counsel, and Associate County Counsel in the Office of County Counsel for Los Angeles County from December 2011 to June 2019. Lillian also worked as a Government Relations Policy Consultant and Analyst for UnitedHealth Group from April 2010 to November 2011, and served as an Attorney at Liberty Mutual Insurance for a brief period in 2009. Earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Public Conservator/Administrator for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and working in Corporate Affairs at DreamWorks Animation. Lillian Russell earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology/Law and Society and Political Science/Public Service from the University of California, Riverside, along with participation in a study abroad program in Italian at Università per Stranieri di Siena.
