Lisa M. Garrett

Lisa M. Garrett has been the Director of Human Resources at the County of Los Angeles since March 2009. Lisa previously served as the Chief Deputy Director and Chief Attorney of the County of Los Angeles' Child Support Services Department from May 2007 to March 2009. In this role, they were responsible for managing approximately 1900 FTEs and overseeing an operating budget of $189 million. From September 1994 to April 2002, Ms. Garrett served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Bureau of Family Support for the County of Los Angeles' District Attorney's Office. In April 2002, they became the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Child Support Services Department, where they served as senior assistant and advisor to the Director, identifying complex problems, creating policy, managing marketing, and providing critical feedback and analysis on a wide range of issues impacting the Department.

Lisa M. Garrett has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Southwestern Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles. Lisa also has certification from UCLA Anderson School of Management in Advanced HR Certificate and certification from International Public Managers Association in IPMA-HR Senior Professional.
