Sean Smith

Sean Smith has a diverse background in software engineering and cloud architecture. Sean has experience working as a Senior Software Engineer at Cover Whale and as a Senior DevOps Architect at both Redapt, Inc and Taos. Sean has also held various roles at The Greenbrier Companies, including Senior Engineer/DevOps Lead, where they implemented cloud-native infrastructure, developed Docker images and Helm charts, and transitioned monitoring tools to the EFK stack. In addition, Sean has worked as an Azure Cloud Architect at SYKES, where they improved cloud processes and trained teams on DevOps practices. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at HomeSphere and Allscripts, and as a Senior .NET Developer/Consultant at CGI. Sean's experience includes developing Salesforce applications, building cloud infrastructure, and working with microservices and event-based architectures. Sean has expertise in technologies such as Java, Angular, Docker, and Azure.

Sean Smith attended Colorado Mountain College from 1995 to 1996. The degree obtained and field of study during this time is unknown. In 2013, Sean Smith enrolled at Regis University and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science, with no specified end year. In addition to their formal education, Sean Smith has obtained several certifications, including Vault: Certified HashiCorp Implementation Partner (CHIP) from HashiCorp in April 2022, CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation in July 2022, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google in December 2021, and HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate from HashiCorp in May 2022.
