Chris Hazen

Chris Hazen has extensive work experience in the chemical industry. Chris started their career at Bayer MaterialScience as an Engineer and eventually became the department manager for the Environmental Control Department. Chris then joined Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG as the Department Manager for two incinerators and a tank farm. After that, they worked at Covestro as the Head of HSEQ for a mid-sized chemical producer and later became the Plant Operations Manager in Texas. Chris also served as the Site Manager in Ecatapec, Mexico, managing an industrial complex and providing HSEQ and security support. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Pittsburgh Site Manager - VP HSEQ and Technical Services at Covestro North America. In this position, they are responsible for multiple areas including HSE governance, product safety, regulatory affairs, and transportation/logistics safety. Their work experience showcases their expertise in various aspects of operations, HSEQ, and management.

Chris Hazen completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Ohio University from 1986 to 1990. Chris then pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia between 1992 and 1996.
