Torsten Erwe

Torsten Erwe has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the chemical and technology industry. Torsten began their career as a Project Coordinator and Research Assistant at Saarland University's Department of Process Technology in 2001. In 2005, they joined Bayer Technology Services as a Senior Project Manager and later became a Global Keyaccount Manager. In 2010, Erwe joined Covestro as a Production Unit Lead and Head of Technical Operations before progressing to Director R&D and Head of Physical Testing. Torsten then served as Director Industrial Marketing and Head of Global Project Portfolio Management. Currently, Torsten Erwe holds the position of Vice President Human Resources, Head of Business Partner Commodities, CTO, and Operations at Covestro.

Torsten Erwe holds a degree in Chemistry/Process Technology from Universität des Saarlandes. Torsten completed their Dr.-Ing and Dipl.-Chem. qualifications in this field. In 2012 to 2013, they attended EIIL (European Institute of Industrial Leadership), although specific details regarding their degree and field of study during this time are not available.
