Daniel Chopson has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2005 when they worked as a CAD Draftsman for Design and Planning. In 2007, they worked as a PC Technician for both Midwest Computer Solutions and Apex Computer Technologies. In 2008, they took on the role of Support Technician at Compass Technologies, and in 2009, they were promoted to Support Technician/Project Analyst. In this role, they provided 1st and 2nd level support for consumer loan software, managed 3rd-party integrations, assisted the Project Manager with new client implementations, communicated business requirements to the technical team, programmed loan form inputs, created interactive GUI reports in Websmart, provided product training to clients and internal support staff, and provided internal I.T. support. In 2012, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Sage, and in 2017, they co-founded cove.tool.

Daniel Chopson obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology (Software Development) from Georgia Gwinnett College in 2012. Prior to that, they studied Software Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University from 2008 to 2010. In 2006 and 2007, they studied Computer Engineering at IUPUC. In 2014, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
