Joao Costa

Joao Costa's work experience begins in 2012 at TYPSA, where they worked as a Civil Engineer specializing in planning, LRT design, and utilities solutions projects. Joao then joined Atkins in 2014 as a Rail Design Engineer, where they were involved in the detailed design of Line 4 & 6 of the Riyadh Metro Project. In 2015, Joao returned to TYPSA as a Highway Engineer, leading specific road schemes in the Department of Transportation in Indiana, USA. In 2017, they became a Senior Highway Engineer at TYPSA, and in 2020, they transitioned to SYSTRA Ltd as a Senior Highway Engineer. In 2022, they were promoted to the position of Principal Highway Engineer at SYSTRA Ltd. Joao's most recent role is as a Principal Engineer at COWI, starting in 2023.

Joao Costa obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, where they studied from 2001 to 2007.
