Dr. Simon McNair

Dr. Si McNair currently serves as an Honorary Reader in the Politics Department within the School of Social Sciences at The University of Manchester since November 2023. From January 2022, Dr. McNair has held dual roles as Behavioural Architect Manager and Senior Behavioural Designer at Cowry Consulting. Prior experiences include serving as an Advisor at The Behavioural Insights Team from May 2019 to November 2021 and as a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at Leeds University Business School from May 2013 to April 2019, where a project focused on developing psychological tools for debt advice. Additionally, Dr. McNair worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher, conducting studies in economic psychology and decision-making. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position at Queen's University Belfast. Dr. McNair completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Psychology at Queen's University Belfast in 2012, following a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology in 2007.
