Mark Dawson

Mark Dawson is the current Vice President of IT Business Solutions at Cox Enterprises. Mark has held this position since 1997, when they first joined the company as an Assistant Vice President. In their time at Cox Enterprises, Mark has held a variety of positions, including Director of IT Applications, Senior IT Manager, and IT Systems Manager. In each role, Mark has been responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions.

Some of Mark's notable achievements include introducing the first portal and HR ERP system, as well as self-service, consolidated financial system, business intelligence, and custom-built solutions. Mark also led the deployment of more than 20 cloud business applications and automation initiatives. In recent years, Mark has focused on transforming technology environments through innovative technologies, Agile development, cloud technology, machine learning, open-source, RPA, and SaaS.

Mark is a respected leader in the field of information technology, and their work has had a major impact on the success of Cox Enterprises.

Mark Dawson has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Jackson State University. Mark also has a certification in Establishing the PMO from ESI International and a Software Project Management certification from The George Washington University.

Mark Dawson reports to Jill Campbell, President & Chief People & Operations Officer. They are on a team with Robert Woodard - VP, Cox Talent Acquisition, Mark Leuenberger - VP, Supply Chain & Enterprise Fleet, and Neil Campbell - VP, Employee Experience Transformation.
