Susan Cortesi, SHRM-SCP

Susan Cortesi, SHRM-SCP has a strong and extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Susan started their career in 2001 at The Land of Nod, where they held various roles including Manager of Customer Contact Center, Director of Human Resources and Store Operations, and finally, Director of Human Resources. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing HR functions, managing store operations, and leading the HR team.

In 2018, Susan joined Cozzini Bros. as a Director of Human Resources. Susan played a crucial role in managing all HR functions for a nationwide knife exchange service with over 750 employees. Susan also built a strong HR support team responsible for payroll, benefits, employee development, recruiting, and safety. Susan's exceptional leadership skills were evident as they helped the company navigate through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to their outstanding performance, they were promoted to Vice President of Human Resources.

Throughout their career, Susan has focused on employee engagement, training and development, recognition programs, and safety initiatives. Susan is a valuable member of the executive leadership team and has contributed significantly to the success of the organizations they have worked for.

Susan Cortesi has a background in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from DePaul University. Susan also studied Education and Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs at Seattle Pacific University. Additionally, Susan holds a certification in SHRM-SCP from SHRM, which they obtained in December 2021.
