Charles Eve

Charles was hired by Sir Michael Hintze from Lehman Bros to his Convertible Bond desk at Goldman Sachs in 1986. They worked together for over 10 years. In 1998 he went to Tokyo to Co-Head the Securities division and was elected Partner in 2000. Charles joined the Asian Management Committee in 2001 and the Global Risk Committee later that year. In 2002 he was promoted to Chief of Staff for the Asian region. In 2003 Charles returned to the UK and along with McKinsey was asked to lead a review of the Goldman Sachs Compliance department. Consequently, he became Head of the EMEA Compliance function, a position he held until his retirement from the firm in February 2018.

Since then Charles has pursued a plural career. He has a portfolio of investments in social impact start-ups, is involved with several charities, a school governor and is on the Advisory Board for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
