Fernando McIntosh has extensive work experience in the field of IT and technical support. Fernando began their career at Dell in 2002 as an Information Technology professional, where they worked for three years. In 2009, they joined DIRECTV as a Customer Service Associate and stayed with the company for six years. In 2015, Fernando joined Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions as a Technical Specialist and remained in that role until 2021. During their time at Emerson, they also served as an IT Help Desk Specialist at Emerson from 2018 to 2021. Currently, Fernando is working as an Enterprise Support Engineer at Cradlepoint, where they specialize in troubleshooting network topologies and interworking.

Fernando McIntosh completed their Bachelor of Sciences in System Security at Colorado Technical University from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Associate's degree in Network and System Administration from ITT Technical Institute-Boise from 2013 to 2015. Fernando also holds an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Boise State University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Advanced Cisco Routing: OSPF, Advanced Cisco Routing: RIP and EIGRP, BGP Essential Training, and the Cisco CCNA (200-301) Cert Prep series, all from LinkedIn.
