Ricardo Pinto de Almeida has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ricardo started their career in 2003 as the Director of Health and Safety at Domingos de Sousa & Filhos, S.A. Ricardo then joined the University of Minho as a Researcher from 2006 to 2007. In 2011, they joined CEVA Logistics where they served as an Operations Excellence Officer, Operations Excellence Manager, and later as a Regional Key Account Manager. In 2015, they moved to Crane Worldwide Logistics where they initially worked as a Global Key Account Manager. Ricardo then held positions such as National Supply Chain and Operations Manager in the UK, Regional Supply Chain Manager for Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa, Director of Solutions Design, Director of Operational Excellence, and finally as the Regional Director of CL & Cross Docking Operations for the same region. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Contract Logistics for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Crane Worldwide Logistics.

Ricardo Pinto de Almeida has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, which they obtained between 1996 and 2001. Ricardo also holds a Masters degree in Safety Engineering from Universidade do Minho, completed from 2005 to 2008. Ricardo further pursued a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering Logistics and Distribution at the same university from 2008 to 2010. Lastly, they attended Cardiff Business School at Cardiff University from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a Masters degree in Logistics and Operations Management.
