Himansha Singh

Himansha Singh has had a varied and successful career in the field of science and technology. Himansha started their career in 2009 as a Project Trainee at the Institute of Bioscience and Molecular Biology, where they gained experience in gene cloning techniques and immuno-techniques. In 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at Shreedhar Bhats' Laboratory, where they handled storage of lab chemicals and recorded data on a daily basis. Himansha then moved to AstraZeneca in 2010 as an Associate DMPK Scientist, where they worked extensively on NSAIDs or acidic drugs to extrapolate their metabolic fate in humans. In 2012, they joined Teva Pharmaceuticals UK as a Microbiology Scientist. In 2013, they began their PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge, which they completed in 2017. In 2018, they became the Co-Founder of Craste, where they focused on the Global Pulp and Paper industry. In 2021, they joined the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as a Raman Fellow and the Global Compostables Alliance as Head of Innovation.

Himansha Singh's education history includes attending Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya from 2000 to 2007, where they earned A levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. From 2007 to 2010, they attended Christ University, Bangalore and earned a Triple Majors in Biotechnology. From 2010 to 2011, they attended The University of Manchester and earned a Translational Medicine in Pharmaceutical Cancer in the field of Drug Metabolism and Toxicity. From 2013 to 2017, they attended University of Cambridge and earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmacology. Finally, from 2019 to 2020, they attended Cambridge Judge Business School and earned a Short course (3 months) in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations.
