Raj Aidasani

Managing Director, Research at CRE Finance Council

Raj Aidasani is currently the Senior Director of Research at CRE Finance Council. Prior to this, they worked at KPMG for six years from January 2012 to December 2018, where they were the Director of Economic and Valuation Services (EVS).

At KPMG, Raj was responsible for managing complex economic issues and data analysis to gather information, provide results, and support decision-making. Raj executed national commercial real estate finance valuation and advisory activities for private equity firms, hedge funds, banks, and life insurance companies. Raj also led projects in the areas of loan valuation and underwriting, financial analysis, and third-party appraisal review.

Some of Raj's notable accomplishments during their time at KPMG include being instrumental as a key contact for all issues concerning commercial real estate debt, opening a new transfer pricing offering for intercompany loans and real estate private equity firms which generated over $1 million in fees, and being one of a few firm Directors to manage both valuation and transfer pricing projects. In terms of revenue generation, Raj liaised internally with audit and tax partners as a key contributor to marketing initiatives and client pitches which elevated the number of commercial real estate debt audit assist projects to 40+. Raj also generated $3 million in revenue by strategically sourcing new business opportunities and networking both internally and externally. Of this, $600K is an annuity to the firm through securing a $3B+ private equity fund as an audit and tax client, with an additional $100K by introducing the firm’s Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) services.

For their efforts, Raj was awarded the KPMG Encore Award 8 times and was nominated for a KPMG local Mentoring Award. Raj was also selected to the Economic & Valuation Services Leadership Forum as part of top performing managers nationwide.

Raj Aidasani has an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in finance from NYU Stern School of Business.

They are on a team with Kim Pang - Director, Programming, Sairah Burki - Managing Director, Regulatory Affairs, and Danielle Nathan - Director, Education. Their manager is Lisa Pendergast, Executive Director.
