James W. has a strong background in technology and engineering. James is currently working at Credrails as the Chief Technology Officer, where they are responsible for setting strategic technology goals and leading product development. Prior to this, James worked at JUMO as a Principal Data Engineer, Senior ML Engineer + Tech Lead, and Senior Data Engineer, where they played key roles in data engineering strategy, machine learning system architecture, and developing optimal data pipeline architecture. James also has experience as a Software Engineer at Arifu and SEMA Mobile Services Limited and as an IT Consultant at Essentialpesa Transfers Limited and Teleyetu East Africa Limited. James has a diverse skill set in software development, data engineering, and IT consultancy.

James W. completed their education with a BSc in Mathematics with a focus on Operations Research from the University of Nairobi, from 2007 to 2011. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Computational Intelligence with an emphasis on Embedded Intelligent Systems at the same university, graduating in 2016. In 2018, James obtained a Certificate of Completion in Machine Learning Engineering from Udacity, and in 2019 they also obtained a certification in Machine Learning Engineering from the same institution.
