Varun Kumar

Varun Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Varun is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at CropIn Technology since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at VMware for almost 9 years, holding various positions including Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer, and Senior Member of Technical Staff. At VMware, they led and drove high-performance global teams to deliver robust and reliable cloud native platforms and productivity services. Varun also played a key role in saving public cloud costs for the organization. Before joining VMware, Varun worked as a Senior Solution Integrator at Ericsson from January 2012 to November 2013. Varun started their career as an Engineer at Wipro Technologies in August 2006, where they worked until January 2012. Varun also had a brief experience as an External Consultant at Nokia Siemens Networks in 2010.

Varun Kumar completed their Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Data Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from 2019 to 2022. Before that, they earned their B.E. degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, Varun has obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in 2018.
