Luke Prichard

Mechatronics Engineer at Cropsy Technologies

Luke Prichard has had a varied career in engineering, starting with a role as a CAD Consultant at 1 Stop Steel Framing in 2014. In 2016, they joined the University of Auckland Formula SAE Team as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Lead Electrical Engineer, where they were responsible for the design and manufacture of fully electric formula race cars, as well as high voltage, high power automotive battery design and general circuit design and PCB assembly. Luke also took on the role of Engineering Design Tutor at the University of Auckland in 2017. In 2018, they began working at Halter as a Mechatronics Engineer and Mechatronics Intern. In 2020, they became the Development Director at Dronz, and in 2022, they started working as a Mechatronics Engineer at Cropsy Technologies.

Luke Prichard attended Northcote College from 2011 to 2015, followed by One Day School—Gifted Education Centre from 2006 to 2010. Luke then completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechatronics at The University of Auckland from 2016 to 2019. In 2017, they obtained a Comprehensive First Aid certification from the New Zealand Red Cross.
