Motion Control Business Unit Manager at Cross Company

Steve Dickerson has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Steve began their career as a Regional Sales Manager at Automation Industrial Control in 1980, where they were responsible for sales and Engineering Services in Virginia. During their time at the company, they also served as a Manufacturer's Rep for various products and played a key role in signing regional distributors for new lines. In 1985, they joined Robotic Systems & Controls as a Sales & Marketing Manager, where they successfully established distributors and representatives nationwide and oversaw the installation of solutions at Ford manufacturing locations in the US and Canada. Steve then joined Motionex in 1988 as a Regional Manager, responsible for sales and account management in Virginia. Motionex was later acquired by Cross Company in 1992, where Steve continued their role as Regional Manager until 2001. At that point, Motionex merged with another acquisition to form Cross Automation, and Steve took on the role of Regional Manager Mid Atlantic, responsible for sales and management in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic US. In December 2011, Cross Automation became the Cross Company Automation Group, and Steve transitioned into the role of Motion Control Business Unit Manager. In addition to their work experience, Steve has also served on various committees and boards, including the Motion Control & Motor Association and the WRBA West Richmond Businessmen's Association, where they held the position of President from 2016-2017.

Steve Dickerson attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Marketing.
