About the Role:

This paid, part time internship position will work directly with our Supply Planning and Merchandising team, gaining hands-on experience in a fast paced direct to consumer e-commerce start up. You will learn the inner works of Supply Chain, Inventory Demand Planning and Inventory Transportation Management, helping to ensure the product is where it needs to be and when.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Communicate Purchase Orders to Suppliers
  • Arranges shipments through shipper's contracted carriers
  • Firefight and resolve potential inbound issues
  • Schedules appointments and coordinates inbounds with Fulfillment Center leads
  • Answering calls from carriers to schedule/reschedule shipments and troubleshooting any logistics problems that may occur
  • FIFO Inventory Management
  • Vendor and Freight analysis
  • Support Category Management reporting
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Review vendor applications and onboard qualified vendors

About You:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Analytics (other related majors will be considered)

  • Ability to effectively interact and build favorable business relationships through effective communication skills

  • Ability to negotiate and influence an outcome leveraging market information, data, and effective communication skills

  • Ability to learn key freight brokerage market dynamics and industry best practices

  • Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations

  • Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business start up

  • Has a positive attitude at all times even in times of adversity

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications - Each candidate is expected to:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor's degree within two (2) years of internship completion, or a recent graduate open to a part time position.
  • Be eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship now or anytime in the future
  • Work a maximum of 20 hours per week - primarily available in the morning hours of 8am - 11am PST.
  • Be available for an Internship opportunity Winter 2024 to Summer 2024 (6+ months)

This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $20-$25 per hour, depending on level of education and any previous work experience.
