Nicolas Wendl

Freelance Director/videographer/editor at Crowd Surf

Nicolas Wendl has a diverse range of work experience in the field of video production. Nicolas started their career as a Membership Services Provider at The American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. Nicolas then worked as a Video Production Intern at Orange County Coastkeeper in 2010, followed by an internship as an Assistant Editor and Production Assistant at Hollywood Media Bridge later that same year. In 2011, they joined DreamWorks SKG Television as a Film Intern. The following year, Nicolas interned at Voltage Pictures as a Development Intern and worked as a PA/Behind the Scenes Stills for OXFAM America PSA at Blue Tango Productions. In 2012, they became the Director and Editor at HauteOC, and also served as a Freelance Director/Videographer/Editor at Crowd Surf starting from 2016. In between, Nicolas also worked as a Video Director/Editor at AKJOHNSTON Group in 2015. Lastly, since 2013, they have been working at AEG as a Video Director/Cinematographer/Editor, responsible for shooting and editing events, red carpet premieres, and promotional videos for various venues.

Nicolas Wendl pursued their education in a sequential manner. Nicolas first attended IBS of Provence from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained an IB Diploma. During this time, they focused on English, French, Maths, Biology, Geography, and Theater. Following their time at IBS of Provence, Nicolas enrolled in Chapman University from 2009 to 2013. At Chapman University, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Film Production at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
