Christopher Romano

Christopher Romano, CISSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Christopher currently serves as the Technical Lead - Cloud IR at CrowdStrike since February 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Principal Incident Response Consultant - Cloud at CrowdStrike from October 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining CrowdStrike, Christopher was a Senior Consultant and Consultant at Mandiant from October 2018 to October 2020. Christopher also worked as a Senior IT Security Engineer at Zappos Family of Companies from November 2017 to October 2018 and as an Enterprise Security Architect at Boyd Gaming from April 2016 to November 2017.

Christopher's career started in the United States Air Force, where they served in various roles including Information Systems Security Manager, Team Lead/Network Security Technician, IT Manager, and Network Support Technician from 2006 to 2016. Christopher also served as an IT Services Supervisor at SolarCity in 2015 and as a SANS Advisory Board Member at GIAC since September 2015.

Through their extensive work experience, Christopher Romano has gained expertise in cloud incident response, incident response consultancy, cybersecurity consulting, IT security engineering, enterprise security architecture, and network support.

Christopher Romano, CISSP, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they graduated with honors "Cum Laude" in 2015. Additionally, they completed the Microsoft Certified System Administrator Course and Systems Security Certified Professional program at the Veterans Career Transition Program at Syracuse University in 2016. In 2008, they obtained a degree in Management Information Systems from the Community College of the Air Force.
