Richard Wong has an extensive work experience, starting in 1993 as a Director of HR in Asia for Nortel. Richard then moved on to Honeywell, where they held the position of VP of HR for Asia. At Flextronics, Richard held multiple roles, including VP of HR, Asia, VP of Global Corporate Social Responsibility and Employee Relations, and VP of Global Employee Engagement, HR Compliance, and Community Outreach. Richard later founded their own company, Elegere Enterprise, to promote the use of fine woven shawls as fashion accessories. Richard also worked as an Associate at Clarus Consulting and Training, utilizing their experience in employer branding and employee engagement. Richard'smost recent role is as the CHRO at Crystal Group.

Richard Wong earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Windsor in 1979. Richard then pursued a Master of Social Work Administration degree from the University of Toronto, graduating in 1981. In 1984, Richard completed their education with an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, specializing in General Management and Organization Development. Prior to their university studies, they attended Praise High School, however, specific dates or degrees obtained during this time are not available.
