Maria Almira Silva began their career in 2012 as the Head Layout Designer, Art Director, and Head Graphic Designer for International School Manila's Bamboo Telegraph. Maria Almira was responsible for rebranding the publication as it transitioned into an online platform, and for creating special editions of the school's official news publication. Additionally, they served as Film Editor and Cinematographer. In 2014, they joined Paris College of Art as an IT Assistant, Front Desk Receptionist, and 3D Lab Assistant. In 2018, they became the Curatorial Lead for the Education Space at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Finally, in 2019, they joined CTO.ai as a Visual Designer and was later promoted to Brand and Marketing Project Manager. In their role, they were responsible for the creation of design-related assets, collaborating on updating the design system, and managing the timelines and project expectations for marketing initiatives.

Maria Almira Silva completed their High School Diploma at the International School Manila between 2010 and 2014. Maria Almira then obtained an IB Diploma from the International Baccalaureate in June 2014. Maria Almira went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Communication Design at the Paris College of Art from 2014 to 2016. In October 2017, they obtained the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans Course on Research Ethics (TCPS 2: CORE) from the Government of Canada. Finally, they completed a Bachelor of Design in Communication Design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design between 2016 and 2018.
