Daniel Purdy has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Daniel has held various roles in different industries and organizations.

Starting in 2002, Daniel owned the first licensed retail store within the Inta Juice franchise chain, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of the company. During their time there, they implemented innovative processes that resulted in doubling sales within three years.

From 2003 to 2005, they served as the Vice President and Board Member of Inta Juice Enterprises, where they founded and supervised the Supply Chain Management and Real Estate departments. Daniel also acted as the lead negotiator for all real estate transactions and commercial lease negotiations.

In 2005, Daniel founded Daring Business Strategies, Inc., a principle-based management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, operations improvement, and executive coaching. Daniel also authored a book called "FIRES: A Guide to Financial, Internal, Relational, External, and Spiritual Transformation."

In 2010, Daniel worked as a Category Sourcing Specialist for BP, where they sourced various materials and services and developed performance management and relationship programs with key suppliers. Daniel then moved on to AECOM in 2014, where they served as a Senior Purchasing Manager, leading a team of procurement professionals and providing services to clients in the oil and gas industry.

In 2016, Daniel became a Franchise Owner and Business Developer for Express Employment Professionals, one of the top staffing companies in the U.S. and Canada. Daniel was responsible for managing and growing the business until 2022.

In 2017, Daniel joined Kaizen Assembly as a Principal Management Consultant. After the company was acquired by Daring Business Strategies, Inc., they continued to serve clients in various industries throughout the U.S.

In 2023, Daniel became a candidate for Whatcom County Executive, running in a nonpartisan election. Daniel aims to advance public safety, increase accountability and fiscal responsibility, reduce the cost of living, and promote environmental stewardship.

In February 2023, Daniel also took on the role of Director of Partnerships at Cultivate Advisors, where they help business owners achieve growth and success through strategic problem-solving and consistent accountability check-ins.

Daniel Purdy has a diverse educational background with a focus on business management and information technology. In 1991, they attended Penn State University for a field of study in International Business Management. Daniel then transferred to Andrews University in 1993 and obtained a BBA with an emphasis in International Business in 1995. Following this, they attended Colorado State University from 1998 to 1999, pursuing an MBA with a specific focus on Business Management and an emphasis in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel Purdy has obtained several certifications. In 2002, they became a Competent Toastmaster (CTM) through Toastmasters International. Later, in 2011, they received certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Advanced Lean Principles and Tools, Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, all from Purdue University.
