Antonio Manetto

Antonio Manetto, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various scientific roles. Antonio is currently working at CureVac as the Senior Director of RNA Optimization & Supply. Their previous role at the same company was as the Director of RNA Optimization & Supply. Before joining CureVac, they worked at metabion international AG as the Director of Project & Process Coordination and the Director of Development and Manufacturing Operations. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Development/Scientific Director at Metabion GmbH. Antonio also worked as the Chief Scientific Officer at Baseclick GmbH, where they were responsible for scientific activities and quality management. Antonio has also held roles as the Manager of Research & Development and the Head of Research and Development at Baseclick GmbH. Prior to their industry experience, Antonio worked as a Scientific Co-worker at BASF and a Postdoc Researcher and PhD student at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München, where they focused on DNA research and detection methods. Antonio also has experience as a Scientific Co-worker at CNR - Bologna and as an Undergraduate and PhD student at Università di Bologna.

Antonio Manetto, Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, completing their studies from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Laurea (Master) in Organic Chemistry from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, Antonio has obtained various certifications including Business Development Foundations from LinkedIn in 2019, Certified Business Manager from ATV Ausbildung Training Vernetzung GmbH in 2017, and certifications in Agile Project Management - SCRUM and Quality Management Responsible/Qualitätsmanagementbeauftragter from TÜV SÜD.
