Nicky Cooke

Nicky Cooke, PhD, has extensive experience in clinical operations and project management in the pharmaceutical industry. Nicky is currently serving as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at CureVac, where they are responsible for the operational planning and delivery of early phase studies for oncology mRNA vaccines. In this role, they provide strategic input into clinical development plans, generates operational plans and budgets for studies, and ensures the successful execution of these plans. Prior to joining CureVac, Nicky held various senior leadership positions at PPD, where they managed teams, developed top talent, and was involved in business development activities. Nicky also gained experience as a Senior Clinical Project Manager at Novartis and as a Clinical Research Associate at Zimmer. Overall, Nicky has a strong background in managing complex clinical trials, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of projects.

Nicky Cooke, PhD earned a doctoral degree in Immunology and Rheumatology from King's College London, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
