Otto Schall

Otto Schall is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, currently serving as a Senior Principal Scientist at Curium Pharma since January 2024. Prior to this role, Otto provided consultancy services focused on PFAS implications for emergency responders. A notable career includes a contractor position at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute, where Otto contributed to drug substance process development and manufacturing. As Director of Drug Substance Development and CMC at Galera Therapeutics, Otto led the initial R&D and process development for clinical candidates while also training R&D staff. With a strong foundation in organic chemistry, earned through a Ph.D. from the University of Miami and post-doctoral studies at Washington University School of Medicine, Otto has directed various R&D efforts and has expertise in regulatory submission readiness and manufacturing processes.
