Lucas D'Angelo

Head Coach at CUS Torino

Lucas D'Angelo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of rugby. Lucas started in 2001 as a rugby player for A.S.D. CUS Genova and later played for Pro Recco Rugby, Rugby Roma Olimpic Club®, Gordon Rugby Club, Asti Rugby 1981, CUS Torino, and ASD Alessandria Rugby. In 2009, they began their coaching career as an assistant coach and player for CUS Torino, focusing on the trequarti and attacking aspects of the game. Lucas then moved on to become the head coach for ASD Alessandria Rugby and later returned to CUS Torino as the head coach and director of rugby. In 2023, D'Angelo joined the Dallas Jackals Rugby team as the attack and backs coach.

Lucas D'Angelo completed their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree from IFEI - IFisherton Institute of Integral Education from 1983 to 1994. In addition to their education, they obtained several certifications in rugby coaching and development. Lucas completed the Allenatore Seven Livello 3 certification from the Federazione Italiana Rugby in February 2019. Prior to that, in July 2017, they obtained the Responsabile Sviluppo Club certification, also from the Federazione Italiana Rugby. Another certification, Allenatore Livello 3+, was achieved by Lucas in July 2013.
