Elan Hamburger has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. They started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in 2017, where they developed user interface and control software for FlexDAR phased array radar. They then worked as a Software Engineering Contractor at SparkPost in 2017-2018, playing a pivotal role in kick-starting code for a new Developer Hub website, resulting in increased visitors. Elan also interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Capital One in 2018, where they rewrote a Java Spring Boot application and redesigned it for AWS cloud environment.

In 2018, Elan served as the President of the Pi Sigma Epsilon - Eta Gamma Chapter, leading a professional business fraternity with 90 active members and overseeing recruitment, training, and professional development events. They also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Customer.io from 2023 onwards.
