Sean Craswell

Sean Craswell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Sean is currently working as a Site Reliability Engineer - Level 3 at Customer.io, where they design, builds, and maintains core infrastructure pieces to support the processing and delivery of billions of messages. Sean also plans the growth of the company's infrastructure, automates deployment processes, provides support for incidents, and ensures effective monitoring and alerting.

Prior to their current role, Sean worked as a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Cvent, where they facilitated the development, automation, and business processes of multi-disciplinary teams. Sean also championed Cvent standards and best practices.

Before that, they held various roles at Medavie Blue Cross / Croix Bleue Medavie, including DevOps Engineering Lead, Software Architect, and Intermediate Software Architect. In these positions, they played a key role in architecting and implementing new functionality for the Administration and Claims platform and managing a migration from Subversion to Git and GitLab.

Sean also gained experience at Skillsoft as a Business Automation Specialist, Team Leader, and Systems Engineer. In these roles, they focused on automating operations, planning and implementing integration solutions, and managing enterprise software and hardware infrastructure.

Earlier in their career, Sean served as an Instructor at the Centre for Arts and Technology, where they designed curriculum and delivered lectures on web application development. Sean also worked as a Systems and Network Engineer at Virtual Expert Clinics, where they managed Active Directory, Exchange, and email services.

Additionally, Sean worked at the Centre for Arts and Technology as a Systems Analyst, Administrator, Architect, IT Department Head, and Facilities Manager. In these roles, they developed curriculum, delivered lectures, and maintained an understanding of emerging technologies.

Sean'swork experience began at Fundy Communications as an Internet Support Representative, where they provided technical support for Data eXcellerator modems and troubleshooted technical problems for customers.

Sean Craswell attended the Centre for Arts and Technology from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a degree in Network Security. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2001, they studied Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick. In addition to their formal education, Sean has obtained certifications including MCSA: Windows Server 2003 and MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory from Microsoft.
