Wei Chien

Wei Chien has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Wei currently holds the position of Director, Data Science and Engineering at CVP (Customer Value Partners) since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Practice Lead in Applied Machine Learning at eGlobalTech (eGT) from March 2019 to January 2021. Before that, Wei was a Senior Product Manager at Nuna Inc. from February 2018 to March 2019. Wei also has experience as Director of Alternative Data, Commodities at Quandl from July 2016 to May 2017. Wei founded and served as CEO of Observ Commodities, where they developed software for analyzing the cost of natural gas transportation from September 2014 to June 2016. Wei was a Senior Natural Gas Analyst at Genscape, Inc. from March 2013 to August 2014 and a Natural Gas Fundamentals Analyst at Barclays Capital from April 2007 to May 2012. Wei started their career as a Trading Analyst at Lehman Brothers and also worked as an Intern, Fixed Income at UBS Investment Bank in 2006.

Wei Chien attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
