Sharhonda Greer, Director of Conventional and Multi-Family Affordable Housing of CMHA, joined the Authority in 2002. Greer has held many roles during her tenure at CMHA, starting as a Clerk-Typist at the former Garden Valley Management Office. Greer’s primary responsibilities include oversite of the agency’s housing portfolio, which includes Low-Income Public Housing (LIPH), Section 8 New Construction, Multi-Family Housing, implementation of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Rental Demonstration Program (RAD) as well as tax credit management and compliance.
In addition, she manages the re-certification process, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), the Exterminations and Paint Departments and is also responsible for ensuring the agency meets HUD standards as it relates to the Real Estate Assessment Center, Occupancy, Rent Collection, Preparing For Occupancy and overall curb appeal.
Greer also maintains the TRACs system for the Multi-Family portfolio. Greer received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology from Cleveland State University. She obtained her National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Public Housing Management Certification in 2010, Nan McKay Blended Occupancy Specialist Certification in 2018 and a UPCS Inspector certification. Greer is a proud graduate of CMHA’s LEAD program (Leadership, Excellence, Achievement, Development), the 2017 Cleveland State University Leadership Academy and is a member of the 2014 Kaleidoscope Magazine 40 under 40 Club. Greer currently sits on the Executive Board of Ohio City Incorporated where she ensures residents are offered opportunities and resources and are a part of a thriving community.
