Tony Clapsis

SVP, Clinical Trial Services at CVS Health

Tony Clapsis began their career as a Legislative Aide in the Massachusetts State Senate in 2001. Tony then worked as an Analyst at Stateside Associates before joining Lehman Brothers in 2003. At Lehman Brothers, they served as a Junior Analyst in Healthcare Equity Research and later became a Vice President, leading the healthcare research function. In 2008, they moved to Barclays Capital as an Associate Director.

In 2009, Tony Clapsis transitioned to the United States Senate, where they worked as a Professional Staff member. During their time there, they managed a $250B provider payment and delivery system reform portfolio, leading to legislative changes and oversight responsibilities. Tony also enacted reimbursement reductions and taxes as part of efforts to offset the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

In 2014, Clapsis joined Caesars Entertainment Corporation as the Vice President and Chief of Staff to the President, Chairman, and CEO. Tony held this role until 2015 when they joined CVS Health as the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. Tony later became the Vice President of Head of Enterprise Strategy before transitioning to the role of Vice President of CVS Health Clinical Trial Services. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Clinical Trial Services at CVS Health.

In 2019, Clapsis took on the role of a Board Member at Parsley Health.

Tony Clapsis completed their education with a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Relations and History from Boston University, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained a Masters of Arts degree in History from Boston University, attending from 2001 to 2002.
