Parker Sloan

Parker Sloan has extensive work experience in community and economic development, as well as in government and legal services. Parker started their career as a Planner at Henderson County from 2007 to 2014. Parker then worked as a Medical Legal Partnership Liaison at Pisgah Legal Services in 2014. After that, they joined FLS Energy as a Business Development Associate from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they became a Senior Community & Economic Development Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables and later moved up to the position of Director of Community & Economic Development. Additionally, in 2020, Parker became a Buncombe County Commissioner at Buncombe County Government.

Parker Sloan completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Community & Regional Planning from Appalachian State University from 2003 to 2007. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Parker earned a Master of Public Administration degree in Public Policy Analysis from Western Carolina University.
