Jordi Varela

Jordi Varela has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical data management. Jordi started their career at Covance in 2007 as a Logistic Associate, where they handled data entry and laboratory report delivery. Jordi then progressed to the role of Data Revision Coordinator, serving as the liaison between the Data Revision Center and other departments, providing guidance on processes and requests.

In 2011, Jordi took on the position of Associate Data Manager at Covance, where they led a Data Transfer Globalization project and identified data issues, offering suggestions to avoid risks. Jordi then advanced to the role of Global Lead Clinical Data Manager, working with key accounts and managing teams of around 10 people. During their tenure, they successfully integrated the Data Management team from Mechelen in CLS studies and developed expertise in project management, customer-centric mindset, leadership, and teamwork.

In 2019, Jordi joined Cytel as a Clinical Data Manager, responsible for clinical trial setup and management, form setup and updates, as well as edit checks setup and testing for data validation.
