Matthew Castle has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate communications and sports reporting. Matthew started their career as a student journalist at Centre Daily Times in 2016 and later worked as an intern at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. In 2017, they became a contributing writer for OnwardState.com and USCHO. Matthew then joined NBC Sports Boston as a production assistant in 2019, where they assisted in generating segments for television programs and conducted player interviews. In 2018, Matthew served as a sports reporter at Bruins Daily, covering news, writing articles, and game recaps for the Boston Bruins beat. Matthew also worked as media relations staff for the Washington Capitals in 2021. In 2022, they interned as a corporate communications intern for the Washington Nationals before transitioning to their current role as a corporate communications specialist at D.C. United in 2023.
