Doon MacDonald

Head Of Research at DAACI

Doon MacDonald has a diverse work experience in research and analysis. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London. Starting in 2017 until 2020, they served as a Post Doctoral Research Assistant at Swansea University. In 2020, they took on the role of Quality Assurance Lead at MXX / Triller UK and later became the Head of CX-Senior User Analyst. Currently, they are working at DAACI as the Head of Research.

Doon MacDonald has a diverse education history in the field of music and media. Doon began their educational journey at Brunel University London, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Music from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they attended the BIMM Institute from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained an HND in Songwriting and Professional Practice.

In order to further expand their knowledge and skills, Doon MacDonald enrolled at the University of Sussex from 2008 to 2010 to pursue a Master's Degree in Composition for Film and Media as well as Studio Composition. Finally, they continued their education at Queen Mary University of London from 2010 to 2016, where they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and an MSc (Media Arts Technology) degree, specializing in HCI/Music.
